Election results for Runnymede and Weybridge 2010 Lib Dems - Thank you to all who supported our local Lib Dem candidates! Your support resulted in an increased Lib Dem share of the vote for our Parliamentary Candidate, and in the elections for Runnymede Borough Council, Elmbridge Borough Council, and the Surrey County Council By-Election.

Andrew Falconer is our parliamentary spokesman and was the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Runnymede and Weybridge in the 2010 General Election. Andrew is a careers adviser in Higher Education working at Royal Holloway in Egham, and lives in the constituency. He is strongly committed to Lib Dem principles and to serving the local community.

Victory against Heathrow expansion - environment damage averted. In coalition with environmental groups, residents and local councils, Liberal Democrat MP Susan Kramer has led the Lib Dem campaign against the third runway at Heathrow. A long-awaited High Court decision on 26 March 2010 ruled that the Government's argument was "untenable" -- see the story on our Campaigns page.
